Music Editing

This service is what started CMajor.Net: the need for dancers to have music that fits a certain timespan. We can shorten music to a certain length, moving endings and vamping where necessary. We can also remove dirty words to make the track a little more "PG" for your recital. The service costs $20.00 for the first track, and $5.00 for each additional track. Discounts apply for complete recitals; all tracks belonging to the same recital will be normalized together. Each track comes back to you on a separate CD. (Sorry, but we can only make one copy of each track.) In order to perform this service, we must have an original store-bought CD (which we return to you). We cannot work from a burnt CD, MP3, iPOD file, tape, or any other media besides the original store-bought CD. (This is because we can legally make one copy of the song for you for your archive, but it has to be a copy of an original.) You may provide us with another media copy to show us how you want the song edited; or, just provide us with meter counts and we'll make the song fit (i.e., "Beginning to 0:52; cut to 3:51 and fade for 5 seconds; remove the word 'skanky' from the second verse..."). We're very efficient at this, but we also do a lot of tracks; and there's always the chance our interpretation of your notes might be a little off. So please make sure you get the tracks to us at least two weeks before your recital.
